Multidisciplinary, multi-level training for Northwest Viet Nam
Tay Bac University currently offers 2 master’s programmes, 35 undergraduate programmes and 1 college-level programme in Teacher Education, Agriculture, Forestry, Economics, Tourism, Information Technology, Natural Resources and Environmental Management, and Nutrition, together with bridging, work-study and short-term training. Chu Van An Primary, Lower and Upper Secondary School serves as the University’s practice school, linking teacher education with classroom practice.

Full-time bachelor’s programmes delivered under the credit system.
Postgraduate education
Master’s programmes in Theory and Methodology of Teaching Mathematics and in Vietnamese Language.
Bridging and work-study programmes
Work-study, bridging and second-degree programmes for working adults.
Short-term training
Professional title standards, pedagogical skills, IT and foreign-language courses.
Assessment
Organisation of examinations and assessment of learning outcomes.
Degrees and certificates
Issuance and verification of degrees, certificates and transcripts.
Published curricula
The full curricula of all programmes are publicly available in two versions: 26 undergraduate and college programmes issued under Decision No. 183/QĐ-ĐHTB (2025 version) and 24 undergraduate programmes (2022 version). The documents are in Vietnamese.
More than two decades of training
Since 2001 the University has awarded degrees to tens of thousands of graduates; a recent survey shows that about 85% of graduates are in employment relevant to their field of study.
